Panagra was established in 1928 as a joint venture between Pan American World Airways and W.R. Grace and Company, a major shipping company in South America.
The airline was known for its high standards of service and its modern fleet of aircraft.
It was often referred to as" The World's Friendliest Airline." Panagra merged with Braniff International Airways in 1967.
